“The happiest man on earth would look into the mirror and see only himself, exactly how he is.” Albus Dumbledore. Harry Potter.  J.K. Rowling

The MIRROR Workshop is an intense dive into our mirrors. The one we perceive of ourselves and the mirrors that life reflects on us. We humans, social beings, have often a misunderstood relationship with the other which leads to confusions and frustration. In this workshop, we will both work on the mirror of ourselves - peel it, tame it, understand it - and we will explore the mirror that is the other.

In this workshop, we will work with mirrors, with the camera, and with the group to investigate perception, self-judgement, confidence, image and how to reconnect to the simplicity of life.

Exercises on self-image

  • through questions: consciousness

  • through mirrors:  self-perception

  • through art: deliver the unconscious

  • through the camera: self-observation

  • through the other: self-judgment

Exercises about the social mirrors

  • through exercises: the visual perception

  • through drama: exploring mirroring

  • through art: interpretations

Exercises about recentering

  • Breathing: living the here and now

  • The muscles: reinforce the persona

  • Flexibility: Liberate the body

The workshops’ goal is to share knowledge about the emotional self, helping adolescents to understand themselves and live a more fulfilling life with others. How do we perceive life, ourselves and others? What is the key to self-confidence? How do others perceive us and what is really beauty.

This program is especially important our days as youngsters are obsessed by their appearance and get lost into codes they do not understand. Most believe that happiness and success relies on beauty and belongings and they ignore where fulfillment really relies. In this workshop, we get deeply into the subject of perception, being the first ingredient to understand social interactions and self-image. We also explore self-perception, judgment, our masks and the concept of beauty. We work actively through dynamic activities, photography, discussions and plastic arts.

This workshop is approved and is part of the program of the Israeli Ministry of Education
